Marshall E. Bein, M.D. received his AB degree in biology from Boston University and his MD, MS from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed internship and residency in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and then residency in diagnostic radiology at UCLA Center for the Health Sciences.

After spending a one year fellowship in chest radiology at Yale University School of Medicine, he returned to UCLA to direct the section of chest radiology for nearly five years. He then left UCLA for private practice and has been specializing in body imaging for the past 30 years.

Dr. Bein has extensive experience in chest imaging, especially high resolution CT.
He is skilled in all applications of CT and MR imaging in the abdomen and pelvis. His interest and training in ultrasound includes abdomen, pelvis, and small parts imaging, and he has extensive experience with saline infusion sonohysterography.

Dr. Bein maintains memberships in the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Los Angeles Radiololgical Society.
