MINK RADIOLOGIC IMAGING is a unique, specialized radiology practice in Beverly Hills. This small, highly personalized practice was developed to permit patients to have radiological examinations in a relaxed, warm environment and to have their imaging studies interpreted by academic, subspecialized radiologists.
The model of radiology practices has been evolving over the past 10 years. In the 1990's, patients were frequently referred to large institutions, such as university-type hospitals for their imaging tests.They entered a cavernous waiting room where they were given a number and many of these institutions co-mingled inpatients and outpatients. The radiologist was usually an anonymous individual who had no patient contact.

At that time, however, most university radiology departments were highly subspecialized with radiologists limiting their practices to Musculoskeletal radiology, GI radiology, Neuroradiology etc. The university model is excellent, but private outpatient practices, by virtue of their small size, were generally unable to offer such subspecialization until now…
